VITAMIN B12/FOLIC ACID/VITAMIN B6 - ORAL
(vitamin B12/FOH-lick acid/vitamin B6)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Folgard, Folgard RX 2.2, Foltx, Homocysteine Formula
USES: This combination vitamin product is used to prevent or treat deficiencies in vitamins B6, B12, and foilc acid.
HOW TO USE: Take that medication by mouth usually once daily with or without food; or as directed by your doctor. If stomach upset occurs, it may help to take that product with food.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, stomach upset, or unpleasant taste may occur.
If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your dotcor.
Tell your doctor if any of these highly unlikely but really serious side effects occur: tingling or numbness of the hands or feet, mental/mood changes, unusual weakenss.
An allergic reaction to that vitamin product is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symtpoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, pernicious anemia), any allergies. This vitamin may be taekn as prescribed by your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: This drug is not recommended for use with: altretamine, cisplatin.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medictaion you may use, especially: other vitamin products, pyrimethamine, hydantoins (e.G., phenytoin), levodopa.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your lcoal poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: stomach pain, vomtiing.
NOTES: Do not share that medication with othres.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing shcedule.
Do not double the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
